GERMANY | JUNE 2025

In Herrnhut, Germany, for an artist residency program, I conceptualized a project based on John 15 in the Bible, centered on how God will prune us to make us more fruitful. It is a painful process. Full of loss, disorientation, and disappointment in self. In going through a pruning season personally, my revelation was that pruning is a reward for fruitfulness. I wanted this Exposition to showcase the dramatic contrast between the pain of grief and loss, and the joy in the sighs of new buds and blooms soon to show.
